Laurel Vail

Laurel Vail (she/her/hers) Laurel hails from the 208*, went to college in Boston (Emerson College), and calls LA home. She started acting circa 2006 and can be seen in a handful of indie features; Leading Ladies (2010), Delivery: The Beast Within (2013), and Contracted: Phase II (2015).

Since pursuing acting is such a crapshoot, in 2015 she began developing her own short film to star in, What Metal Girls Are Into. The short went on to be selected by over 120 festivals, winning 23 awards and getting nominated for another 33. After getting a taste of directing, she fell in love with it.

Since making films is very expensive, she is mostly focusing on writing lately, with the intention of having a slate of projects available for future productions. Her production company, Out Of Spite Productions, is focused on creating opportunities for under-represented people both in front of and behind the camera.
